A meeting of the board of Governors, Bacha Khan chair was held in the conference room, Garden campus at 11;00 am on 5th October, 2016. the meeting was presided by the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali. it was attended by Prof Dr. Nasser Ali Khan, vice chancellor, University of Haripur, Mr Aziz Khan, Ex- Member Federal public service commission, Islamabad, Dr. Jehanzeb Khan Khalil, Dean of social sciences, AWKUM and Dr. Mohammad Sohail, Secretary, Bacha Khan Chair. The BOG, Bacha Khan chair, approved unanimously the agenda items, including the establishment of Bacha Khan Chair corner library, publishing the doctoral thesis on the " Educational services and Philosophy of Bacha Khan", publishing a book on " Bacha Khan in pictures", launching a website for dissemination of literature regarding the history, culture, education, Pukhtunwali and other subjects of the region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with focus on the role of Khudai Khidmatgar movement.
It was also decided to launch a multi disciplinary, biannual (online and printed) journal under Bacha Khan Chair for academic growth and development of the history, culture and languages of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The BOG, also approved to hold national conferences annually on the theme of Bacha Khan and his colleagues struggle for the freedom movement.
