Mr. Abdur Rauf,Overseas PhD Scholar, Department of Botany, has been Awarded The Degree of Philosophy (PhD)

Overseas PhD Scholar of Department of Botany Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Mr. Abdur Rauf, has been awarded the degree of philosophy (PhD) in a graduation ceremony held at University of Leicester, United Kingdom. The University of Leicester is one of the leading institution and has been ranked among the top 1% of universities in the world by a global league table of higher education institutions and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The project entitled “Cellular and Genetic Control of Male Germline Morphogenesis in Arabidopsis thaliana” was supervised by Prof David Twell (Lab 311). The final viva was chaired by external examiner Dr. James Doughty, University of Bath and internal examiners Prof Pat Heslop-Harrison and Dr James Higgins, University of Leicester. Mr Abdur Rauf dedicated his research work to the martyrs of APS (Army Public School) Peshawar, KP.
