Mr. Muhammad Bilal, Lecturer of Sociology, Presented his Paper

Mr. Muhammad Bilal, Lecturer Department of Sociology (Main Campus) has presented his paper titled "Social Capital and Women's Political Participation in District Mardan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa" in the 1st National Conference on Social Discrepancies and their Remedies in Sociological Perspective. The conference was jointly organized by the Department of Sociology, International Islamic University Islamabad and Iqbal International Institute of Research and Dialogue. It is pertinent to mention that this small piece of scholarship (having an interpretive approach) was philosophically cemented with Bourdian (Pierre Bourdieu) concept of "Social Capital" and Collins' (Patricia Hill Collins, A Marxist Feminist) concept of "Intersectionality and Matrices of Domination".
